We don't accept "mysql-only" changes without more insight on whether
other databases are able to support this too. MySQL is a bit special,
since the search results are actually buffered in the client, so
reset/seek is very easy to implement. In for example Oracle it's
completely different, it would actually make more sense to either cache
the output of the query in your PHP code or re-run the query. For seek
there's always the "rownum" parameter to fetchRow() and fetchInto().
