Seems to work, did a:
% pear uninstall PhpDocumentor
and then a
% pear install PhpDocumentor
downloaded the tarball, and installed it w/o complains.
I will remove the fixed tarball from my web dirs now that all seems to be
working (at least here in my Solarix box).
