So far they're plaintext. I've spent a week now trying to grapple with the
production of useful documents from XML, and have given up. I'll probably
mark them up into LaTeX because (a) I know LaTeX; (b) LaTeX works; and (c) I
can create nice looking PS, PDF, and HTML from it fairly painlessly.
I'm happy to share the original plaintext if someone with XML skill wants to
turn them into "official docs" without having to remove all the LaTeX.
