Now both installer and packager use infoFromDescriptionFile, to get real
good variables names. Simply do a print_r($this->pkginfo); for more
info. The make-packages should be changed to use it.

I didn't know that the package.xml file should store a history, I meant
that it would only have information about the current release. For me
the history and changelog should be in separated files for not
overloading the xml file. But I'll add this behavoir if people accept
it.
