I like the idea of adding it to Net_URL. I was kind of surprised that there
are others doing the same thing. For the Fusebox architechture we use
something called SES Converter (search-engine safe) to do this. Since with
Fusebox all calls go through index.php, it's just included at the top of
index.php. It's not object based but you might want to take a look at it
anyway.
