Hi, I tried to install PEAR again by using "lynx -source go-pear.org | php", but this time some strange error appeared : ########################################################################################## anarchy# lynx -source go-pear.org | php Welcome to go-pear! I guess this error appears in Archive_Tar when it tries to unpack something. The pear comming with php on cvs also doesn't work. I traced the error back to some PHP_PEAR_INSTALLDIR which is PEAR_INSTALLDIR in the configuration file. But I've got no idea about that ;) bye
