PHP sells email addresses? No... Guess not, really not! Didn't you think about it how easy it is for a person who wants to collect masses of email adresses for spam ? Just google for some news.xyz urls, follow some links and you will get thousands of e-mail addresses just by requesting all news headers from a server. Mirco MEEBEY Bauer wrote:
I just got spam though pear-dev@meebey.net I never entered this email address anywhere, accept on the mailinglist request form. The only way of getting this email address would be PHP sells the email addresses or a spambot found http://news.php.net/group.php?group=php.pear.dev and was very satisfied Those mailinglist archives should use the no spam syntax for the email addresses or even don't show the email address completly (only a part like pear-dev@meeb...net) the subject of the spammail was: "Market with mass email" if someone else also got it, please tell us Mirco Bauer aka MEEBEY -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.12 GIT d s-: a--- C++ UL++>++++ P L++$>+++$ E W+++$ N o?
