it works on my system... but I changed the default in the configure from
--with-imagick=autodetect to --with-imagick=shared, maybe this helps.
Download http:/trash.chregu.tv/imagick-0.9.3.99.tgz and
install it with
pear install imagick-0.9.3.99.tgz
