Correction, beta 2 did install on linux, but since it only had pear_phpdoc and not phpdoc, some complained. My memory fails me :). I am at a loss for what is causing the problem, but I guarantee it is in the pear script or backend pear stuff. Someone with experience needs to isolate this bug.
