RAHHHHHHHH, found it
the pear archive gets untarred in PEAR-1.0.1 then the script does
include_once ./PEAR/Config.php when the files are in
pear-1.0.1/pear/config.php
The archive is broken !! It should be untarred in
pear not pear-1.0.1
because it makes the go-pear script fail !
