I've have some issues and enhancements to HTML_Form. I've send an email to
stig and he suggested I'll post to this list.
I've search the archive (marc.theaimsgroup.com) but their engine is useless
(the search is converted to "html form" not very usefull) so I apologize
if I'm reiterating stuff.

Hi Stig,
I've viewed your Form class in the PEAR repository, and I have some
additions/modifications for it. To name a few:
1. The use of alignments (<TH align="right">) is not suitable for languages
written from right to left (the alignment should be left for the labels).
So
adding a direction for a flag and using is when generating the form is a
good
idea.
2. There seems to be no way of attaching css to table cells, this should at
least exist as an option.
3. Add the option of another <td> for each row serving as comment for the
input. For example
<TH>Password</TH><TD><PASSWORD......></TD><TD>between 4 to 8
chars</TD>
4. Add the option of detecting submission of the form ( isSubmitted() ) if
any of the variables exist in $HTTP_XXX_VARS (if track_vars is on) or in
$GLOBALS. Usually forms submit to themself ($PHP_SELF) so we can use this
function to check for it
5. Add Validation rule system for the form (mandatory fields, Content
length,
fields equal to another field - for password fields) after the form is
submitted.
Later I want to add a class that allows to edit, add and delete records to
datasets using the DB class.
As I see it, there are several ways to go:
1. I can write another class that extends the form class replacing the
displayXXXRow() function in the extended class.
2. Submit diffs to you for your inspection and you apply them to the class.
3. Get a cvs account and add to the file myself (I really don't know how to
use this , except form the command cvs up :-( )
4. You don't want anything to do with it (or with me) and don't understand
why am I bothering you.....
</snip>
Thank you
