bcompiler on Windows

Hello guys (and girls),
I am trying to get bcompiler (pear/PECL/bcompiler in CVS) to work with
Win32 PHP, version 4.3.1, but with no big success. It works well to
load the module, but after a couple of page loads (one to 20-30) the
whole of PHP just dies spontaneously when loading a PHP page -- even
though none of the bcompiler functions have been used so far.
Has anyone else succeeded in running bcompiler on Win32? Oh, and by the
way, I can post MSVC++ stack dumps of where it dies if anyone is
interested.
