General question about the NNTP view of this list

I've been using Mozilla news group reader to post to and read this list. I only put 'Newsgroup php.pear.dev' in the to field. Does the message still get posted to everyone on the mailing list? Or do I have to cc it to pear-dev@lists.php.net aswell?
