What purpose does the first parameter of the factory method have, when
running the package in server-mode? I suppose it's the hostname or the
IP address where the server should listen on, right?
Yep
I'm wondering if your code can be merged with the existing Net_Socket.
Did you already think about this?
Mh, I think it is possible. The easiest and fastet solution would be
to return an instance of a Net_Socket when calling factory or the
constructor.
Apart from that, the example looks
pretty cool. Is the source code available somewhere?
Not yet.. I thought that it would be better if we first talk about
what it should look like before I start. But I'll begin with it
today, ok? You can find it somewhere on :
http://0x03.dynip.yawsp.de/sources/Sockets/
We should discuss how the file-structure should look like.
Maybe like this :
o Socket.php
o Tcp.php
o Udp.php
o Local.php
Maybe there couldn also be a socket type abstraction layer:
o Socket.php
o Stream.php
o Tcp.php
o Datagram.php
o Udp.php
o Raw.php
o Seqpacket.php
o Rdm.php
But these are imho too much files.
