I would like to extend PEAR::Auth to have an extra status message that would
state that the user account was not found, maybe even an extra method to
check this first.
I have come across a need for this in my LDAP extension for Tiki
(http://tikiwiki.sf.net/). The code I'm planning on adding to Tiki would
have an option to add a user that was found in the Tiki user database but
not found in the LDAP directory. Currently Auth only states whether the
user validated correctly, not whether the user was found, despite the fact
that the code first verifies the user's existence before the authentication
is attempted.
What would be the best way of doing this? Should I extend Auth,
Auth_Container or Auth_Container_LDAP, or should I just ship a custom
Auth_Container_LDAP.php file with Tiki?
