as far as i can see this is still an unmodified version:

.. there has been some changes in go-pear and other scripts
that will find its way into snaps as it is intended by
pierre-alain.
.. the current go-pear still has problems with other drives
than c: and as you see, it does not properly install
pear.in, and probably also not replacing some @php_bin@ and
the like in pear.bat
