have a look at http://cvs.php.net/co.php/CVSROOT/avail
if your not in there under pear- just email them again.
you shouldnt be doing imports
just check out pear
in the pear directory
mkdir Net_IMAP
cvs add Net_IMAP
cd Net_IMAP
// add the IMAP.php file
cvs add IMAP.php
cd Net_IMAP
cvs commit -m 'first commit'
