Radius auth to RSA/ACE Server fails

Howdy,
I am trying to get the Auth_Radius package to work talking to an
RSA/ACE Radius server which is in front of an RSA/ACE SecurID server.
I keep getting invalid packet errors from the RADIUS debugging log.

Radius send failed: Error sending request: No valid RADIUS responses
received.
I am using php 4.3.1 with the PECL radius extensions version 1.2, and
the latest Auth_radius and CRYPT_Chap pear packages
Any ideas?
