Hi,
After playing with "axis" for a while I found that there's an
interesting feature that can be emulated in PHP to make web-services
easier to deploy and thus more interesting to PHP developers. The idea
is:
Take a PHP class in a .php file and rename it to say .phpws then use a
soap-server.php or similar script that can be called like:
http://example.com/soap-server.php?Foo.phpws
<http://example.com/soap-server.php?Foo.phpws&wsdl=1>
&wsdl=1
And will return the WSDL for the WebService, of course
http://example.com/soap-server.php?Foo.phpws
Will be used to directly access the WS.
My question is: does such a script makes sense? Is it reasonable to ask
for such a thing with the PEAR::Soap package? I believe it can increase
the usage of PHP and PEAR::Soap for Webservices a lot.
Of course the idea can be changed and refined, this is just a thought.
Luis.
