I've installed it and is listed as installed. but the file "info.php" does not appear anywhere in the pear folder.
I can remember that this problem occured with another package(can't remember witch). I am running pear 1.0.1 on Winxp and apache 1.x.
after manual copy to /PEAR I had some problems to get it to work.
a little example like the folloing in the file should have saved me reading through.
require_once 'PEAR/Info.php';
$o= new PEAR_info;
$o->show();
