Sure, I understand. Well I've been working with MDB for a while now and I'm generally very happy with it. PEAR::DB still has some nice tweaks like the stuff mentioned above, but that's just minor stuff. MDB is the way to go. I agree that stable drivers are important, but if you want the majority of PEAR users to switch to MDB I think that packages like DataObjects supporting MDB is even more important. I mean, not many PEAR users use anything else besides PG or MySql, but a lot of people use DataObjects and they won't switch unless it works with MDB I guess. Well I use them together in the same project but it's not how it should be done. MDB's ? is pretty much what ! is to PEAR::DB. You are responsible to do any sort of conversions, either by using&get*Value methods or passing an array with types.I've got it working now, just passing an array of types. Thanks. I just thought sometime ago you said you were going to incorporate theand ! as well and I was just wondering if you had. Are you still goingto? I am considering .. however MDB development is going slower then you seem to expect :-/ Sorry. In June I am reserving R&D time. However I will probably focus more in layers that go ontop of MDB. The Manager will also get some attention. How much features additions to MDB will be considered is unclear. One thing that needs to happen before are functional versions of an odbc, Informix and Sybase/mssql driver. Unless I have them I cant start messing with features as the danger is too great to mess things up for these drivers without being able to test that.
