Hi... I have written a package to handle JPEG Metadata, including EXIF and IPTC.
It provides most of the features of iptcparse() and exif_read_data().
Even if it is not C code, it is faster than those compiled functions (at least it was the last time I checked about a year ago when I started my package).
And the best feature... it let's you WRITE back pretty much all the data.
I wrote most of it a year ago, and started PEARlifying it. I'm not sure if it fullfills all the requirements but I'm willing to work on that.
I guess the most appropiate package name would be "Image_JPEG".
I would also need to work on the docs, which are completely non-existent right now.
I have to admit I haven't checked the Image_IPTC package already in PEAR (read/write iptc), or Jake Olefsky's EXIF library (read exif, http://www.offsky.com/software/exif/index.php). But I believe my package is at least more complete, providing both a single abstraction for all JPEG metadata and write access to any "writable" field (and many you shouldn't be touching anyway).

(That's a temporary location)
Comments? Suggestions? What should I do next?
Regards
Sebastian
