One addition, when asking for the proxy, instead of asking HTTP proxy (host:port) I would write HTTP proxy (http://user:pass@host:port) Or at least indicate you can write it like that, otherwise people not knowing the installer may wonder how to use their proxy which requires authentication. One feature i didn't try is the "alter php.ini". I launched the pear command and it worked out of the box ! No setting to modify nor anything to tweak. Platform : WinNT 4, php 4.3.0, TEST PASSED.
