I submitted a few additions to Date and Date_calc a while ago and Baba was
willing to implement them once I'd taken out tabs etc...thread starts here

I still plan on doing the updates but have been stacked with work recently.
Because of one or two recent patches my magic century stuff needs another
look!
I should be able to put some time in to the Date package in a couple of
weeks. I'm prepared to apply as a maintainer or developer to this package
if Baba and Monte don't mind the company!
BTW I don't have a CVS account so if I get an OK in principal from the list
I'll apply.
Been reading Calendrical Calculations
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0521777526/ref=sr_aps_books_1_1/026

to see if there are any extensions / improvements that can be done such as
Islamic calendars etc...
