Hi all,
I developed some snippets for connecting XML database Xindice from PHP via
XML-RPC.
I use PEAR XML_RPC package and the XML:DB API that is also supported by
other XML databases such as Tamino.
Also XPath and XUpdate queries are supported. XUpdate statements
(well-formed XML snippets themselves) are set in a generic way.
I would like to know if this project is (still) interesting for PEAR. I
found a few old messages in pear-dev about this topic but they were posted
long time ago. Additionally, this project or a similar one is obviously
still missing in PEAR (correct me if there is one).
I could extend my code to be generic, support all methods, have full XSL
support, apply PEAR coding rules and so on, if you say that this module
makes sense for PEAR and thus my effort would pay off.
I'm not sure about a possible name, because the connector can be used by all
databases supporting XML:DB API. What about XML_DB?
Thanks for your feedback.
Michael
