segmentation fault

I use Suse 8.2 and php 4.3.1. I try to upgrade pear and install more modules : Log File Mail DB_ldap HTTP_Request ... when the I tried to use imp (Webmail) don't work and I find a lot of segmentation fault in /var/log/httpd/error_log.
