<wolff@21st.de> wrote :Yes, as in "after all, it´s written by me" ;-)Hi Bertrand and Alexey, I´m currently writing an extension for DB_DataObject that can automagically generate QuickForm objects from auto-generated DataObject classes, which works surprisingly well until now ;-)Surprisingly ? :)
I would like to see it working, it can probably be very useful extension. We´ve been using it for three weeks now, it´s quite cool - you generate your DataObjects using the extended class and you can start prototyping your app immediately by simply typing: $dataobject = new DO_MyTable; $dataobject->some_field = 'some_value'; $dataobject->get(); $form = $dataobject->getForm($action); $form->display(); Now you have a simple, working form the table that your DataObject represents. It even follows foreign keys and generates comboboxes from the associated table´s values. Once you´re done prototyping, you can start tweaking the settings in each DataObject (or even replace elements, as suggested) until it´s perfect. I´ll do some more tweaking on it the next few days (and of course it´s currently lacking some docs, which need to be done as well) and then propose it as a PEAR package.
Good idea, we will see if we can implement that after the next release. I'll let you know.Cool, thanks ;-) CU Markus
