well, I was right. There was a problem and Arnaud Limbourg found it and solved it. I modifed my copy of Date.php... from... elseif (preg_match('/\d{8}/',$date)) to ... elseif (preg_match('/^\d{8}$/',$date)) and all is right with the world! (so far) Thanks Arnaud walter
