It's ok, I see why you thought why you thought. And you're not the first person to think I meant the old apspell functions when I've said that too.
Please understand though the benefits of using the external binary, simply because of the ease and lack of hassle of it it would be nice.
If Tony decides to write this and you get it approved I'd be more then happy to help. As is I have a good chunk of code for spell checking.
