I decided to choose this convention after experience with predecessor of
Config_IniFile ( File_Ini, avaible from
http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~meal/php/).
It requires a lot of work to differ
and find the value from lines like this:
val="see a space"
val=see a space
val="see a space" // comment
val=see a space // comment
val=see a space // comment "nice to be a PEAR-member"
val="see a space and a ; comment char" ; and at least another comment "with
quotes"
Catching all this possibilites result in a lot of pregs's and if's. The
behavoir of IniFile is more restrictive but also brings up speed. I did some
non-representativ tests showing, that IniFile is between 10% and 75% faster
then File_Ini.
