I already documented a lot of PEAR-class on my website
(http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~meal/php/peardoc/index.html or the docbook
source: http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~meal/php/peardoc/peardoc-docbook.zip).
"Unfortunately" the doc is in german, but translation should be no big task.
For the API-function references, we could create a XSTL-file which converts the
PHPDoc XML-Files to Docbook reference entries. So the people are forced to
write clean PHPDoc comments and we avoid to write the API-Doc twice.
And in the end - we should seperate the PEAR-Doc from PHP-Documentation.
Downloading a 20MB PHP-Manual isn't very funny.
