Greetings!
OK, in case this wasn't noticed the first time: I wish to take maintainership of HTML_Menu package. It was never formally released through PEAR but is available in PEAR CVS. The only maintainer listed in its package.xml file is Ulf Wendel, so the package is effectively unmaintained.
I see the following development strategy for this package:
* 'Legacy' release 1.0 with CS fixes
* Getting rid of direct HTML generation in favor of approach used f.e. in QuickForm
* Possibly use datasources other than the array
* Fixing the bugs found in 1.0 along the way
* Release 2.0
Now, how do I go on? Should I wait for some formal approval or should I just click on "New Package" on PEAR website?
