Having the ability to offer both the .tar.gz and .zip formats for download from PEAR would be very useful to windows users, and possibly expand the PEAR userbase, so I am pre-+1 toArchive_Zip May I ask a (stupid) question here? This comment would mean that 'Archive_Zip' would be it's own class? Why would this not be a 'Archive::Zip; class? But then again, I would love to see Archive_TAR as Archive::TAR. I noticed that there are lots of XML_??? Classes as well, instead of XML::??. Is there a logic/plan behind this arrangement? Or is this just a case of 'it's just how it came out in the wash'? But maybe that's just me.
