A PHP crash is something that we can not fix. I'd recommed you to try
to find the line which causes the crash, try to isolate the problem in
few lines and open a bug at bugs.php.net category "PHP Crash".
I'm curious about this problem (which I can't reproduce under Linux),
so feel free to write here if you find the solution.
Thanks for answering.
The main problems are:
1. This happens ONLY when using DB class - when performing the same query using the PHP built-in pgsql support - everything is working fine.
2. The problem is isolated - it appears when doing simple "$db->query($query)" while query is select from large table. Problem appears only if the table has large amount of records. The same query performed on the same table with less records (I tried with 100) is performed without any problems.
3. The problem is not any way connected with amount of data received - as I said the problem occures event when "select count(*)..." query is performed - so it is very strange as the data oprations should be performed rather on db backend - and the result should not be any way differnet then from other query.
4. It is true the problem cannot be replicated on Linux - it does not appear there :) I tried to isolate the source of the problem - and it's definatelly PHP - as the problem occures if the PGSQL DB is on Linux machine, and PHP is on Windows. The same scripts on Linux (when PHP is running there) works fine.
Mostly becouse of 1st point I think the prblem is with DB class. I do not know very good it's architecture, but it must do something stange with memory - and that's why I think the only person that can raise the PHP bug is someone, that worked on this class. I have to little information to be able to trace where the problem occures in the DB class.
