If you really want an object oriented interface to arrays, i'd recommend
looking at phrame. http://phrame.sourceforge.net/docs/examples/utils.php
These classes implement hashmaps, stacks, queues, etc, and allow for iterators
and whatnot (STL style), if you really want that. That said, I generally agree
with alan. Too much overhead for general usage, without significant
new functionality. -1

-1 http://www.php.net/array I know this is how java/Design patterns works.. - but this is PHP, arrays are dealt with by an internal set of functions, which are designed to be fast.. - I can not really see any advantage in wrapping them up in a class.. Just a early morning widging pom.. :) Regards Alan Michael Wallner wrote:-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I would like to propose a really tiny package which though might be useful for operating with common array structures such as queues, stacks and hash maps. You can find the sources at: http://dev.iworks.at/PEAR/Structures_Arrays/ Please use the "higlighted Source" links to the right hand. Why Array*s*? Because "class Array" results in an parse error :) I would really appreciate comments on naming because that's a bit confusing (Structures have no PEAR dir?).
