I'm +1 here, I agree we still have some unclear error messages arround
the code. Perhaps a link to the documentation would easy the message.
Of course I forgot to mention that apart from using a
custom config file one could just use ENV vars. The list of them are
located at php-src/pear/PEAR/Registry.php
