Hi there,
I'm working on the FreeBSD ports of PEAR packages, and one thing
I'm struggling with while trying to create a makeport pear(1) subcommand
is lack of consistency in paths (I've already tackled this topic here).
Some packages have documentation in doc/, others in docs/, yet other
packages have example files in the docs? directory. Besides, FreeBSD
ports put documentation in D/share/doc/P, and examples in
D/share/examples/P, etc. (D is typically /usr/local, P is the port name,
or, in case of pear ports, pear/<pkgname>.)
Basically, I need to examine the package.xml file, and add install-as
attributes to some file elements. But looking at the PEAR_Installer
code, I don't see an obvious way to hook this in. Is there any?
