+Status: Bogus
Bug Type: DB
Operating System: Linux - irrelevant
PHP Version: Irrelevant
New Comment:
The actual code is:
if (!DB::assertExtension('sybase') &&
!DB::assertExtension('sybase_ct'))
return $this->raiseError(DB_ERROR_EXTENSION_NOT_FOUND);
Upgrade your DB package, perhaps is too old.

Description:
------------
In order to use Sybase-DBS either the extension sybase or sybase_ct is
needed. AFAIK both work well and which is installed depends on my
sys-admin.
In my case, sybase_ct.so is installed, therefore the function:
assertExtension() failed loading a file called "sybase.so".
Because I don't need the feature of dynamic loading extensions - I
removed all code in this function (just a dirty workaround).
