And BTW... The "solution" that I came up with CANNOT be the only solution. We must work on this more. My Solution REQUIRES that all data files and text used in the XML is UTF8...since other folks will want to use other encodings, my solution will not work for them. Or you can use ICONV to convert my solution to ther encodings. But the solution is only ONE encoding. We need MULTIPLE. So...anyone actually want to discuss possible avenues of work rather than just "hey...do it all and post a patch when you're done" James Greg Beaver wrote:
