A colleague of mine said that the pear-announcements are quite
helpful but doesn't have time to follow pear-general completely. So
the idea of having a separate announce-mailinglist (pear-
announce@...) was (re)born. Afaik this was proposed some time ago but
I can't remember the outcome :-)
What do you think?
