Hi,
I've just started to aling some of the useful (least for me:) code I wrote for
a project to PEAR coding standards.
When documenting using PHPDoc style, I found I dunno how to include HTML
formating (which is available inline in Javadoc comments btw.)
For example I have:
http://teo.gecadsoftware.com/apidoc/phpx/HttpScriptletRequest.html#function_pushPathMapping()
I dunno how to generate spaces and linebreaks. I took a peek through PEAR
code but saw no HTML tags.
Also, at: http://teo.gecadsoftware.com/sources/phpx/HttpScriptletRequest.phps
you can find the source, which I'm in the process of documenting :)
any points, critics and observations are welcome.
A short abstract would be:
In Serlvet/ASP/Zope talking a script/servlet receives a request which contains
all the information from the client along with useful methods.
The idea was to use it vertically throughout the processing, and pass it to
relevant business modules, for example in a MVC model (already done in 2 large
apps using that, and it was quite useful.) This way one can avoid repeating
isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['foo']) stuff (well, now is $_POST, but still) all the
time, and make use of helper functions, also nice if one wants to port
Servlets to PHP or vice-versa.
TIA, ciao
