I would be glad to join such an event. I'm actually only improving existing packages, maybe I get some idea there on what to create on my own. Anyways I'm from Hungary, close enough to Germany so I have no problem with the location. On the other hand, I'm not sure about the fact that this would push PEAR development in any meaning.
