As Pepr seems to be experiencing problems, here's at least some information: XML_Simple is a driver based oo-style interface to XML documents. It supports the simpleXML extension of PHP5 and mimicks most of its functionality in PHP 4 using a SAX parser. This allows you to use simpleXML in your scripts and keep them backwards compatible. XML_Serializer's Unserializer mimicks SimpleXML AFAIK... so you shouldn't replicate that code again... Otherwise, the backwards compatible thing is a good idea... - Davey
