hi all
i'm using mail_queue to send my mails here through a cron-job, and i found some problems with it.
the mail had a 30kb-attachment, with about 300 receipients.
now every time i called the script only 75-150 recipients got written to the queue, it always died without an error-report in Mail_Queue_Container_db::put().
the script runs on my providers host, safe_mode is on and it seems like he was having a serious memory-problem...
i did a
print strl(serialize($mail_queue));
after each put() and saw that the queue was growing and growing, which lead me to line 182-186 in Mail_Queue_Container_db::put().
what use has this? only for couting? could this be made optional? i only call the put-method, and the stuff that's saved there isn't used in the put-method, so i really don't need this stuff. in large sends, like in my case, it can lead to problems. i only want the to be pushed into the database for later sending...
maybe with a $track switch or something?
bye, stephan
