What version of PEAR::DB are you using ? escapeSimple() is supported in DB 1.6.0. http://pear.php.net/manual/en/package.database.db.db-common.escapesimple.php We can also use quote() or quoteString(), but it is deprecated in DB 1.6.0. http://cvs.php.net/co.php/pear/DB/DB/common.php?login=2&r=1.93 We should use these deprecated functions to maintain backward compatibility ?
