This was more of an expression of interest. The package would provide an object orientated method of querying servers. The part I am interested in designing would be specific to querying gaming servers, the package could be used to generate pages like: http://games.bigpond.com/pc/resources/servers/ Or http://www.tfxsoft.com/fun/hl.php (use IP 82.138.240.2:27015) I wrote the code for this a long time ago, it's not object-orientated, so it'd be a fair amount of work to bring it up to scratch - if people think it's a good package then I'll do it. Obviously you want to make it as flexible as possible, so limiting the name to HalfLifeServerQuery probably isn't a good idea. Perhaps Query_Server? That class could be extended by each type of server you wish to query (assuming the functions were simular, which may not be the case), QueryServer_HalfLife, for example. I don't know, just throwing some ideas around. I'd like as much feedback as possible before I start.
