I dunno, I haven't noticed any problems using the property on more than
one level of nesting, in fact my test mark-up shows that it does what its
supposed to do.
I have noticed that this and certain other properties do not work in IE6
without the presence of a strict doctype (invoking standards mode -- or
almost standards mode, for the cynical among us.). There is
also a problem with your page layout due to this, IE6 ignores the float
property without the doctype causing the table to appear halfway down
the page (used on the divs). If you include a doctype, it is corrected.
To align right use margin-left: auto;
