Do you have CVS account? If not, fill out the form at http://www.php.net/cvs-php.php and I'll get you all set. You should check out "pear" from cvs.php.net instead of "php4", the directory I'll set up for you will be "Net_NNTP". Inside it, create a file called package.xml (you can use HTTP/package.xml as an example) describing your package. To make an installable tarball of it, run "pear package package.xml" inside the Net_NNTP directory. To install the generated package, run "pear install Net_NNTP-n.n.tgz".
