Between version 0.8.2 and 1.0 the ability to output empty xml tags was lost.
For example
I can no longer generate: <textarea></textarea> because its converted to <textarea />
While i know this is the same xml its not the output I want. Would a patch that allows the regular expression
at line 486 be turned off be accepted.
Besides not wanting empty tags converted there is also the performance item of not wanting to run preg_replace on a large xml document, after you've already spent the time transforming it.
Also if you'll accept a patch do you have any suggestions on the name, emptyTagTransformation maybe?
