One suggestion I made to Lukasz was that RootFinding might be considered a subpackage within an overall Calculus package. Calculus_RootFinding Others would be: Calculus_Differentiation Calculus_Integration Calculus_Interpolation Calculus_Optimization Calculus_Nonlinear Calculus_ODE (ordinary differential equations) Within this framework, RootFinding might be put here: Calculus_Nonlinear_Rootfinding The concept of "Numerical Algorithms" may be too nonspecific to be useful. Also, there would be a ton of linear algebra code that could go under the label of Numerical Algorithms, however I think it would be better to keep LinearAlgebra as its own top level folder alongside Calculus. My 2 cents...
